Houston to Austin through LaGrange

 

• IH 10 (West) past Columbus, take Highway 71 to
  La Grange and Austin.

• Continue on 71 West looping around Austin (toward Johnson City & Llano).

• Take the Brodie Ln. / Southwest Parkway exit and move to the right lane. Follow the signs to the Southwest Parkway which begin just before the three overpasses.  Go approximately 7.4 miles until it intersects with Hwy 71.  Turn right on Hwy 71 toward Llano for approximately 20 miles until you cross the Perdernales River. 

• After crossing the Pedernales River, go approximately 2 miles to Pale Face Ranch Rd.  Turn right on Pale Face Ranch Road which is CR415 and go approximately 4.6 miles.  Go straight at the stop sign approximately 1.5 miles until you reach CR414.  Turn right until you get to the sharp bend in the road. The McAlister gate will be on the left in the bend.
